We even let Chuck's know how much we'd appreciate a closer locale! :) We live "west of Longview", out towards the Cathlamet area. We'll definitely be looking into Bader's on our next trip!

MamaTea~Not really that awesome at all...just attention deficit with a little hyperactivity thrown in for good measure! :) Grandma's are the best~we're trying to convince her that she needs to live with us full-time...currently we're bribing her with fried chicken and gluten-free cookies...I think it's working!Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05741321309330513890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3805828989776528313.post-87777087387564720612012-03-24T19:28:49.613-07:002012-03-24T19:28:49.613-07:00Valerie~That's so funny! I'll have to tell my mom about it if there is, I love the one in Vancouver!!! Bader's has a website with directions to their store. http://baderbrewing.com I was just in there yesterday picking up bottles. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07190133377236175075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3805828989776528313.post-35568539206715466342012-03-23T17:03:15.953-07:002012-03-23T17:03:15.953-07:00How wonderful that great-great grandma is still in...How wonderful that great-great grandma is still in your lives! :)
I'm jealous of your dandelion and strawberry wine! Kinda pricey but I only bought it for me.momma-lanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02975411711120382015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3805828989776528313.post-49174452617726357482012-03-23T09:46:51.862-07:002012-03-23T09:46:51.862-07:00Thank you for adding smiles and laughs to my morni...Thank you for adding smiles and laughs to my morning! :) I so relate to this life. :) I'd love to know more about what you can do with dandelions- I've never fought with them because I knew they were good for things, we've just never done those things... :) We don't do wine (a recovering alcoholic in the family so we avoid having it around) but would love to hear about all the others. :)Charahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02846751334556341992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3805828989776528313.post-8825785810627364592012-03-23T09:28:12.534-07:002012-03-23T09:28:12.534-07:00Farmgirl Cyn~Reubenesque has a much nicer ring to ...Farmgirl Cyn~Reubenesque has a much nicer ring to it than "middle age pooch!"

Momma~lana~It's overwhelming at times for sure. Especially when all I really want is a nice juicy steak and have to settle for watching my family enjoy it instead.

Valerie~We have never even heard of Bader's! We'll definitely have to check that out! I live in Longview~we have a supply store called "Hops & Grapes" that is pretty awesome. It's also our newest restaurant that I hear is a pretty hoppin' place.:) We're planning a visit south next week so I'll be looking for Bader's!

Lisa~It's nice to be reminded of the blessings. It can seem pretty overwhelming at times! We're thinking about moving Grandma in permanently so we can enjoy more of these sweet moments.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05741321309330513890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3805828989776528313.post-5709026189013397652012-03-23T08:01:09.363-07:002012-03-23T08:01:09.363-07:00You have been blessed, indeed, with a sweet life, ...You have been blessed, indeed, with a sweet life, Kim. :) That photo of your granddaughter being read to by your grandma is precious. Cherish these times, my friend! My grandmas have both gone on to glory, and I miss these kinds of moments terribly. Thanks for sharing (with a tear of joy for you...).

Blessings, ~LisaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14760735212107263086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3805828989776528313.post-28624015870015764392012-03-23T06:39:45.611-07:002012-03-23T06:39:45.611-07:00We made our first batch of dandelion wine last yea...We made our first batch of dandelion wine last year as well. Being the "dive right in and hope we can swim" types, we made 5 gallons of it! :) This year, we'll do more...yep, it was that good! That started us on our wine adventure and we've been making many kinds, strawberry is no my list as well! :)

Because I know you and I are from the same area, relatively speaking, thought I'd share (in case you haven't visited yet) that Bader's on Grand is an AWESOME place to buy wine making stuff and they have classes too. I took one with a friend a month or so ago, well worth the $20. They are SO willing to help answer questions too. Most likely you have already visited there, but just in case. ;)

Enjoy your wine...we are watching the grass VERY carefully here for ANY signs of those glorious yellow flowers! Funny how your perspective can change. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07190133377236175075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3805828989776528313.post-65106611715331020362012-03-23T04:58:44.600-07:002012-03-23T04:58:44.600-07:00Ah. I know about crying in the kitchen because the food allergies are overwhelming, sorry :( Many a time I have stood looking in my cupboards and fridge and just not seeing a thing I could eat without getting sick.

As for the first part and gettinerdone, I have a dear Russian friend who has been in the US for 3 1/2 years and she totally does not get expressions like that one. I try very hard not to use words and cliches like that because they are just not something she can understand. We Americans have our own language for sure!momma-lanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02975411711120382015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3805828989776528313.post-87868047220362509392012-03-23T04:18:09.670-07:002012-03-23T04:18:09.670-07:00I prefer to call my developing mid-section "R...I prefer to call my developing mid-section "Reubenesque".
