Fear, Focus, and Escape!

Sometimes a farmgirl has to put on her proverbial big girl panties and do things she really doesn't want to do.

She clears her mind and gains some focus. She's determined to live the life they've chosen and will not succumb to weakness.

Until her Mister requires her to master the fine art of evisceration.

This one not-so-simple act has sent this farmgirl running for the hills.

Where she can again clear her mind and regain her focus.

I'm off on another adventure until sometime next week...

...this time, without the crutches!☺

*Thanks to my dear son Dakota who "captured" my true emotions on butchering day. You're a peach.☺

Ho-leeee Coooo-rap. I am pretty sure I just woke up the whole house and someone might have even called the cops because I just laughed SO hard from this post. You, my dear, are awesome. Even if you look like you're going to gag right over 'da top of 'dat chicken. :)

Such lovely expressions!! You know, this is on my 50 before 50 list...

We raised and filled our freezer with over 50 meat birds last year, but I wasn't involved in the "processing" portion of that endeavor.

Next year it'll be me. :) ~Lisa

I know...I'm a disgrace, but the gag reflex was in overdrive and I was completely at its mercy! I don't know how my Mister puts up with me...:)

Thank you for sharing these very personal, very truthful (and HILL-
AIR-E-OUS!) photos!

You'll get over it.

Really.
