A Meal Plan and My "Blonde" Moments

No offense to blondes, but I had a moment last week. In fact, I've had so many of them lately that I've determined that these moments are not exclusive to blondes.

Because I'm clearly a graying brunette.

Here's a couple of my "finer" moments...

1. I wrote out our weekly meal plan, then meticulously typed it for my Sunday afternoon post. Not only did I forget to hit the publish button, I also misplaced my hand-written plan at the grocery store. (Grocery list was on the back.)

Then I deleted the unpublished post thinking it was a mistake.

2. I took some pictures of the 3 eagles in the fir tree above the chicken coop.

They were turkeys.

3. I mowed the lawn.

Twice.

After the first mowing, with many adjustments to the blade height, I realized that I forgot to engage the mower deck.

And yes, my children saw it all.

4. I wore flip flops into the grocery store. Did a little dance to a tune playing inside.

Missing flip flop found on aisle 4.

I had yet to traverse down aisle 4.

So on behalf of all the blondes everywhere, stop picking on them.

Stupidity knows no hair color. It is random and can attack anyone, anywhere. And if you're lucky, there won't be any witnesses.

But only if you're really, really lucky.

Our meal plan will look a little different this week. I've decided that the winter weight has to come off. Instead of the usual "Winter 10", I've got an extra "Fall 10" to deal with too. Because of my back issues, I've had 6 months of taking it easy and am ready to get back to normal! (If you could point me in the general direction of normal, I'd be ever so appreciative.) I'm not counting calories or eliminating carbs, I'm just cutting starches from my evening meals and adding a little exercise in the form of walking. (20 minutes a day to start.) Saturday's will be my "free" day to enjoy whatever floats my boat.

Because if my backside doesn't start getting smaller, that boat ain't gonna float
